Ironclad Research exists to improve financial literacy through structured, evidence-based education. Our goal is to help you understand how markets actually work, think more clearly about risk, and make more informed decisions — because we genuinely believe better education leads to better decisions.
But there is one line we will never blur: education is not personalised financial advice. Understanding a concept is not the same as being told what to do with your money. This page explains that distinction plainly, so there is never any doubt about what we do — and what we don't.
Everything we publish — articles, interactive lessons, Pattern Lab exercises, AI tutoring, visualisations, quizzes, worked examples and simulations — is designed to do one thing: explain ideas clearly so you understand them. We teach principles. We do not, and will not, tell you what to buy, sell or trade.
Nothing on this platform is, or should ever be treated as, financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or pension advice, or a regulated investment recommendation. Specifically, nothing here should be read as:
Where we mention specific securities, ETFs, indices, options, futures, cryptocurrencies or any other instrument, it is purely to illustrate a concept. An example is never a recommendation. If a lesson uses a real company or a real chart, it is because it makes the idea easier to grasp — not because we are suggesting you act on it.
Parts of Ironclad Research use artificial intelligence to generate explanations, examples and personalised learning experiences. We monitor and improve these systems continually, but AI can still occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Please treat AI-generated material as a helpful study aid, verify anything important independently, and never mistake it for professional financial advice.
All investing involves risk, and trading carries even more. You can lose part — or all — of the money you put in. Past performance tells you nothing certain about the future: the historical examples we use throughout the platform are there to explain concepts, not to suggest that similar results will happen again. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you invested.
Some of our material covers options, futures, CFDs, margin and leverage. These products behave very differently from straightforward investing — they can amplify losses just as quickly as gains, and many retail investors lose money trading them. We explain how they work so you understand them, not to encourage you to use them. If you do, understand the risks fully first.
The charts, screenshots, company names, historical trades and market scenarios you'll see are teaching tools. They may be simplified, they may leave out real-world complications, and they should never be copied directly or treated as a template to trade. Their only job is to help a concept click.
We make every reasonable effort to keep our content technically accurate, balanced, current and genuinely useful, and where a topic is debated we try to present more than one view. Even so, markets evolve, regulations change and products come and go, so information can become outdated. We give no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy or suitability of anything published here.
Every financial decision you make should be your own, made with your own judgement — and, where it matters, with guidance from a qualified, regulated professional who understands your personal circumstances. Ironclad Research cannot assess your objectives, your financial position or your appetite for risk, and nothing here is tailored to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ironclad Research, together with its owners, employees, contractors and contributors, accepts no liability for any loss, damage or expense arising directly or indirectly from reliance on any information published on the platform.
Our promise is simple: to provide some of the highest-quality financial education available, presented honestly, clearly and without sensationalism. We want to encourage curiosity, independent thinking and a habit of lifelong learning. Education can empower better decisions — but only you can make them.
If anything on this page is unclear, please get in touchbefore relying on any content we publish. We'd rather answer a question than have you act on a misunderstanding.
